Even though the Caribbean vibes in Punta Cana are completely different from your daily life, you might want to have a bit of home around you when you’re on a holiday. We have listed our top 5 of coziest home-away-from-home accommodations, that leave a big part of your holiday-savings in your bank account for fun activities. With our 5 completely different, but cozy budget hotels in Punta Cana, there’s something for everyone!

B&B Playa Matilde

‘Beachy-cozy’

Although the 5 hotels in this list are in no particular order, this place is one of our favorites! At only 1 minute from the (private) beach, 14 minutes from Dolphin Island Park and close to the sweet water lagunes and shopping mall Palma Real, the location is perfect! The rooms are light, airy and super clean, and there is a terrace on which a copious, yummy breakfast is served every day. So expect fresh juice, homemade cupcakes, and fruit while you enjoy the sunny Punta Cana mornings! B&B Playa Matilde scores very high on price-quality ratio and is very popular with couples. Check out their availability here.

Guesthouse Las Piedras

Rustic-cosy

If you fancy staying a green, cozy wonderland, this is the place to book! The rustic stone and terracotta interior and exterior give this guesthouse a calm country vibe, which might be exactly what you need on your holiday. At only 3 km from Cortecito and Los Corales beach and 3 minutes walk to Bavaro city center the location is perfect. There is a free, American style breakfast you can enjoy under the cozy stone veranda. The rooms are sparkly clean, and some have a nice balcony where you can enjoy a glass of wine and a good book. Even though Las Piedras is an oasis of calm, the clubs and bars are only a couple of minutes away if you do want to party! Plus, there are plenty of activities in the area, such as cultural and historical excursions and watersports. Check out availability here. In addition to being a price-friendly option, it also feels like home. It is defineley not one of your average budgets hotels in Punta Cana, because you are staying with a family. Read about it on in our article on not your average hotels.

Soriano Boutique Rooms

Luxury (but affordable)-cosy

The word ‘boutique’ might scare you if you’re on a budget, but that’s absolutely not necessary. The Soriano Boutique apartments have been around since 2015, which means the rooms are all very new and clean. The interior is airy and fresh, with a lot of wood and light colors. The apartments are perfect for those who like to do their own thing! You can make your own meals in the shared kitchen, which is a great way of meeting other holiday-goers. You can enjoy your breakfast, lunch or dinner on your own balcony with views over the garden (with pool!) and sea. And now that we’re mentioning that: the private beach is on a 1-minute walking distance! The location of Soriano is great: it’s right in Bavaro and attractions such as the Dolphin Island park and sweetwater lagunes are close by. Check out their availability here.

Capri Beach House

Tropical paradise-cosy

Just by looking at the white and bamboo apartments with the backdrop of the clear blue sea makes you feel you’re in a tropical paradise! Talking about cozy, the Caribbean style. The rooms are large and have a balcony with hammocks and relaxing chairs. All apartments lead to a central area with more hammocks and an excellent restaurant where you can enjoy the freshest seafood and cocktails while you enjoy the beach view. Capri is great for those who want an active holiday, so for a small fee, you can take part in catamaran trips, or cultural excursions. There are also plenty of options to do watersports and snorkeling. The location is perfect: right in the middle of Punta Cana. Check out their availability here.

Art Villa Dominicana

Modern-cosy

So we’ve showed you 4 different styles of cozy. For a modern, original version of cozy, we would like to present to you: Art Villa Dominicana! This very popular and cool place has a Miami, art deco kinda feel and we dig it. The white and turquoise walls and steel balconies give this building a clean, but friendly look. The corridors and rooms are very light, with tiled floors, light colors and original materials. Take for instance the glass tables and pink translucent chairs! Some rooms have a kitchenette, but if you don’t feel like cooking, there is a restaurant where a continental breakfast is served every day. The hotel is a 12-minute walk from the beach and a 10-minute walk from the Dolphin Island park. There is an option to rent bikes, and there are plenty of restaurants in the area. Check their availability here. One of the budget hotels in Punta Cana that is quite different.
