We are back with our BOP’s weekly. Your weekend guide in Punta Cana which gives you tips to fill your lovely days on the end of each week. Just Check out all the good things to do in Punta Cana for you. This weekend in Punta Cana is all about Carnaval, local markets, music, and food!

Punta Cana Carnaval

You are in luck this weekend in Punta Cana, because you get to experience one of Punta Cana’s biggest events! We are talking about the Punta Cana Carnaval. This year you can join in on the festivities two days in a row. Groups from Saint Martin, Haiti, Aruba, Curacao and a selection of the very best Dominican Carnaval groups will be showing their beautiful costumes and dance moves in a parade. This event is one not to miss! The parade starts at 3 PM today (Friday 8th of February) and tomorrow (Saturday 9th of February) on the Boulevard November 1st, located in Punta Cana Village. Entrance is free, but if you want to sit on a stage you can buy a ticket at the Grupo Punta Cana office at the Galerias Punta Cana. For more information call: 809 959 5006.

Shop & Dine

This tip is actually for the shopaholic ladies that are in Punta Cana. Today (Friday the 8th of February) you can shop at restaurant Balicana in Cocotal in Punta Cana. There is a Pop up store of Lilu Shop which will be selling items of different American brands from 8 PM. So, munch on some good Asian fusion inspired cuisine and shop till you drop after!

Creative workshop for kids

Of course you take your nieces, nephews, or kids to Carnaval and to the local market, but you can also let them discover their creative side in a workshop. On Saturday from 10:30 to 12:30, children in the age of 5 to 9 years old can participate in a creative workshop from L’atelier in Bavaro. A workshop that will discover the little artist that is hidden inside of them. For more information call: +1 8295254022

Beachy Carnaval

If you want more after the two-day celebration of Carnaval in Punta Cana Village, check out Pearl Beach on Sunday! From 10 AM to 6 PM they will be hosting their own beachy Carnaval party. Expect costumes, cocktails, music, while you take a dip in the sea or in the pool!

Go Local

We just love markets at BOP! So when we saw that there was going to be a Bavaro locals market on Sunday the 10th of February we were more than excited! The Bavaro locals market takes place on Plaza Turquesa. Expect lots of local goodies!

Organic goodies

Yes, you can go to another market on Sunday! This one is in Los Establos in Cap Cana and it is organic! Los Establos is the place were horses are kept in beautiful stables in lush green surroundings. The organic market that is being held their on Sunday the 10th of February has so much local good food that you can munch on. Expect local honey, and other delicious veggies and fruits. This market takes place from 8AM to 5 PM.

Sundays at TOC

This event we mentioned before. It is one of our most relaxing things to do on Sunday, when we want to enjoy some music with a beach view. Want to experience this feeling too? So, why not hang out at the Playa Turquesa Ocean Club for some live music with a view and see our Khris Joe from BOP faces live? The musical program starts at 2 PM and ends at 5 PM.
