Weekend waves are overflowing our Punta Cana office. Time to go out, get some sun and a drink or two! This weekend, we have some fun things to do in Punta Cana for you. Chilling, powerful art and the best golf tournament? Besides – it’s the start of Semana Santa this weekend! Let’s go.

Chill at Onno’s Bar

On your fun things to do in Punta Cana list you must include this bar.  Onno’s Bar  hosts many cool nights, from Monday Madness to Ladies Night everyThursday, to Mexican Night on the Wednesdays. In the weekend, Onno’s likes to
relax on Kick back Sundays from 5pm to 2am. Happy hour is every week day from 5to 8pm, so grab your chance on Friday! Located right near the beach, this Bar is the best spot for some good chill weekend vibes.

Special screening of Un Acto de Rebeldía Al Día

This Sunday, Colao Café in Cap Cana hosts a special screening of short film Un Acto de Rebeldía Al Día. This film / audiovisual project was directed by Isabella Bretón and written by Gabriela Ortega and exhibits microaggressions from day to day, empowering women through small acts of rebellion. A must-see. This film showed in Los Angeles and New York and features many awesome performers. During its launch at Mamey Librería y Café, the short film was screened nine times to more than 450 people. Attendees were able to perform their “acts of rebellion” through an interactive art installation. The event starts at 2pm in Café Colao and is free. Go and support this creative team!

PGA Tour Event Punta Cana

Bit of a golf fanatic? This is YOUR weekend. The PGA Tour hits Punta Cana 19 – 25 March (you’ve probably seen ads around) and you can buy tickets to see the tournament for $10 a day. This is the very first PGA golf tournament in the Dominican Republic and Punta Cana is very proud to be the host! Enjoy the excitement of a big sports’ tour and want to see the winner bag $3 million? Woah. Hit the golf course this weekend!

Fusion food lovers event

This is one for the ultimate foodies: this Friday and Saturday, Ceviche 301 organises a special fusion dinner night with Japanese and Peruvian flavours. Discover the origins of this new gastronomic trend that has seduced the whole world, from 7 to 11 pm! Expect lots of fresh fish, avocado and sweet soy sensations. Honestly, the picture got us drooling. You can read the whole menu on the Facebook event page. Yummy!

Fun things to do in Punta Cana during Semana Santa

This Sunday, Semana Santa starts in the Dominican Republic! This (inter)national holiday is the biggest in the country and means days off for the local residents. If you’re visiting the Dominican Republic in the time of Semana Santa, it will be a little bit busier in certain places. In Punta Cana, expect beaches full of people and a town buzzing with liveliness. Want to escape the crowds? Check out one of our secret secluded beaches! Enjoy this Holy day!

Want more fun things to do in Punta Cana during the week too?  Keep coming back to BOP this week, because we will be keeping you updated on all the events that are happening during Semana Santa.
