The weekend is here! We will keep you entertained in Punta Cana starting from today, the 16th, until Sunday, the 18th of February. There are so many things to do.

A beach view, in combination with Asian food

This sums up everything Balicana in Bavaro has to offer. The place is located on the beach and has an extensive menu of Thai cuisine. The hot green curry with shrimps or the Pad Thai will have you imagining you are in Thailand. Balicana is open during the day, so you can swim in the sea and eat in between. The perfect ingredients for a great weekend. Pass by on Friday night to enjoy live music, from Queen tribute band, La Reina. Beach, music, and food! What else do you need? Don´t worry about the weather conditions when it is raining, because they have the perfect covers to keep you dry.

Catch a wave inside

We already mentioned this place briefly in our article on things to do on  Valentine´s day in Punta Cana. But it is so good that it needs a comeback for the weekend as a tip in this edition of BOP´s weekly.

Surfing combined with lounging in a shopping mall. Situated in the Downtown Mall in Punta Cana, Surf house Punta Cana, actually has no roof. A large open space with a big indoor surf pool. On the other side, there are tables where food is served. A VIP deck with lounge chairs finishes the ensemble. No Bachata in this place. Expect loads of electronic music. So, no Latin dance moves in the pool. Surf House Punta Cana wants to create a sporty, surfer vibe during the daytime -kids are also allowed- and a lounge feeling during nighttime. Why not give it a try and catch a wave while you are there.

A lounge, a sax, and a violin

The place to chill and relax this Sunday is at  Pearl Beach Club. With there Flamingos Domingos, they will have you bopping your head to classical music with a twist. This is because their resident violinist Antton will be stringing songs like ´Mi Gente´ from J. Balvin on his violin. Together with saxophonist Darling Sax, they will be tearing up the place musically. Lounge, eat, jump on an inflatable flamingo in the pool, and relax while you are enjoying your perfect Sunday in Cabeza de Toro, Punta Cana.

Superheros and sex games

You have been living under a rock if you haven´t noticed that two major blockbusters are playing in movie theaters now. Good news, they are also here in Punta Cana!

Black Panther

Go see  Black Panther, the first black superhero of Marvel. This character protects the fictional African Nation Wakanda. Already breaking records worldwide, this movie is a feast for the eyes if you are into action, comics, visual effects, and a good story.

Fifty shades freed

The books had people going crazy and when the movie came they went ballistic. Although there are some critics that say that the acting skills could be better and the movie does not follow the book’s storyline. Whatever the case is, the third movie Fifty shades freed is here. An erotic romantic film, where main characters Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele are involved in intrigues, relationships, and games. How will this end?

Go organic

If you follow us on Instagram and read our articles, you might notice that we like markets. You can visit one too! Every Sunday  Los Establos in Cap Cana has an organic market. From 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM you are able to pick up local fresh organic farm products such as honey, coconuts, tobacco, sweets, plantains, yucca, pumpkin, yam, cocoa and much more. Los Establos is not called like that for anything. The meaning of the word is the stables. So when you are there, admire the beautiful horses and nature around.
