Yes, we are in the middle of one of the most important weeks in the Dominican Republic. This also means that in addition to religious celebrations there are also a lot of other festivities in Punta Cana. So, start planning for the next few holy days!

Festival time!

A new electronic festival is coming to Punta Cana from the 19th to the 21st of April. The electronic festival Meet! will be held in Chozza and Onno’s. The line up includes musical talents such as Mandy, Fur Coat, Martin Eyerer, Sergio Parrado, GonÁalo, Adapter and André Buljat. But also artists like Polish DJ Magda and Chilean Alexi Delano, will be performing. This festival is definitely one of the most musical things to do in during Semana Santa in Punta Cana. Get all the information on this festival here.

Coco Bongo for the kids

On this weekend in Punta Cana your kids, nephew, nieces, or grandchildren can enjoy one of the best nightlife experiences in the area. You won’t be dropping them off at night but at 4 PM on Saturday. They will have the chance to be entertained at Coco Bongo’s special kid’s event. Expect Spiderman and other superheroes! Be on time, because it can be busy. Get your tickets here.

Walk, Eat, and Meet

Since almost everyone is off during Semana Santa it is to spend quality time with friends and family. If you are looking for things to do with the whole family head on to Playa Blanca. From Friday until Sunday they have entertainment for the whole family starting from 12 in the afternoon. There will be inflatables for the kids, a special selection of drinks for the adults and live music and DJ’s. This is definitely a fun thing to do during Semana Santa in Punta Cana!

Egg hunting for a good cause

Another fun thing for the kids during Semana Santa in Punta Cana.  On Saturday  from 3 PM to 6 PM kids can go hunting for eggs at Api beach in Cap Cana. This is not just a regular egg hunt since it is organized by foundation Latiendo por ti. A foundation that helps children with heart defects.

Party with cocktails

We spoke about this new place in Bavaro before. And now we are doing mentioning it another time, since they have party on Saturday night starting at 10:30 PM. We are talking about the Yopo Tiki Bar. Expect great cocktails with a mix of electronic and lounge music.

Sunday lounge

If you want to relax on the beach on Sunday with some good island beats head on to Soles Chill out bar, where Candela will welcome you with open arms. Or visit one of our secret beaches when you really want to be a little bit more secluded from the crowd. Or just walk along the coastline and enjoy the beautiful surroundings in Punta Cana!

Happy Semana Santa!
