But let’s say you’ve got something to celebrate, or you’re just looking for a fancy night out? Then these traveller’s top picks in fine Mediterranean restaurants in Punta Cana might be something for you. Read on and find out more!

Passion by Martin Berasategui

Run by Spanish top chef Martin Berasategui, Passion brings a whole lot of Spanish temperament to Punta Cana. As if Dominicans didn’t have enough! But all this fieryness seems to create a happy marriage. Looking at the menu, you’ll see a lot of traditional dishes and ingredients from Southern Europe and the Caribbean mixed together into creative, modern dishes. And by the way, this restaurant has been awarded a 2017 Traveller’s choice award on Tripadvisor!  This restaurant is located in the Palma Real Paradisus and golf resort, want to visit it? Call for a day pass or spend the night.

Mediterraneo

Eating at this Mediterranean style restaurant is a fusion fine dine experience located in the Eden Roc, Cap Cana property. Combining European and local tastes, Mediterraneo’s decor breathes a subtle rich elegance, but is simple enough to feel comfortable. Choices vary from dishes with ingredients fromland and sea, to  a top selection of cheese and wine. Together with a spectacular view over the Caribbean sea, this spot is perfect for date night!

La Palapa

Further sailing along the waves of fine cuisine fusion restaurants in Punta Cana, we make a pitstop at La Palapa, which is like Mediterraneo one of the exclusive restaurants at Eden Roc. The ultimate star in this restaurant is the fresh seafood, but guest stars on the menu are the local dominican dishes, pasta plates and meat platters. They’re open every day for lunch and diner, and booking is highly recommended.
