There’s only one thing in the back of your mind that can dampen this feeling of freedom – your flight back home is fast approaching. After keeping up to date with news back home you’ve learned that there are new regulations in place thanks to COVID19, even though you’ve socially distanced and adhered to all safety rules here on the island, you will need a negative PCR test to get back home!

Will I Get My PCR Test Results on Time?
Most countries require a negative result between 48 to 72 hours prior to boarding your return flight. We recommend that you book you test at the beginning of your vacation to ensure you receive your test results in time! Clinics will also be able to arrange your appointment at your hotel or residence if you provide sufficient notice.

UPDATE! In Response to the Requirements for Negative COVID Tests Before Returning Home:
From Tuesday January 26 the Dominican Republic will offer COVID19 rapid antigen testing FREE OF CHARGE to hotel guests, with results certified by the Ministry of Health.
PCR COVID testing is still available to all visitors with an additional fee as advised in this article. The government of the Dominican Republic has also extended the free health coverage plan for visitors who arrive on commercial flights and stay in a hotel until March 2021.
